Beauty Blender

What it is:
A makeup sponge applicator.

What it does:

Beautyblender® is the first ergonomically designed non-disposable sponge applicator that allows you to flawlessly apply your makeup. It's designed to be cleaned with its partner blendercleanser®—making it super eco-friendly. It comes with an instructional pamphlet so you can quickly master your application technique.

When wet, beautyblender doubles in size and becomes even softer, returning to its original size when it air dries. Its package can serve as a pedestal for drying it on your vanity. Not only is the smaller end the best applicator for concealer under the eyes and around the nose, but it's also ideal for achieving dramatic results with your eye shadow. Feel free to use the beautyblender with all types of makeup, including loose powder and mineral cosmetics.

Suggested Usage:
-The beautyblender should be used dampened with water and can be used with any type of makeup formulation: liquid, cream, powder, loose, or pressed.
-It is to be used in a stippling or "bouncing" action, not a dragging motion across the face.

REAL TECHNIQUES Miracle Complexion Sponge

It's a 3-in-1 multi-functional makeup sponge by Real Techniques. The rounded side blends larger areas of the face. The precision tip covers blemishes/imperfections and the flat edge contours around the eyes and the nose, leaving you with a complexion that's smooth, enhanced and gorgeous!

Optimize your beauty routine with this 3-in-1 multi-functional sponge from Real Techniques!

  • Rounded sides blend large areas of the face with a repeated dabbing or stippling motion.
  • Precision tip covers blemishes and imperfections.
  • Flat edge for the contours around the eyes and nose.
  • Its versatile design evenly blends makeup for a smooth, enhanced finish, leaving you looking gorgeous.

I really love the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge, since it almost does what the blender does, but is much cheaper (BeautyBlender costs $19.95, and the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge costs $5.99). It's the best similar-priced makeup sponge! I have used it in both its wet and dry states, and it worked perfectly. I think the wet way works better for me. It's very soft, and easy to use. I love its shape, since its shape is user-friendly, and it can be used in different areas of the face. It blends the foundation and concealer perfectly, and gives you a flawless look.

If you do not care about your budget, BeautyBlender works a little better than the Real Techniques model. If you do not want to spend nearly $20 on a makeup sponge, the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge is the best option!
