This article asked people "Here’s a simple arithmetic question: A bat and ball cost a dollar and ten cents. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?"

How long take you to find the answer?

My American friend asked me and it took me 2 seconds to find the right answer as he stood next to me to make sure the time... He told me it took him half an hour to do it, while I told him, I could do it right even when I was eight. I joined the mathematics competitions since I was six, so I did a lot of similar questions when I was at elementary school...

It would be interesting to see how people from different cultural backgrounds answer these questions...
